Emmy Acevedo, LSW
Emmy is a Licensed Social Worker with Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work and a Minor in Psychology from Rutgers University. She enjoys working with children, adolescents and young adults to promote the development of coping skills, increased self-esteem, social skills development, problem solving, and post-traumatic growth. Emmy is also passionate about working with individuals who are experiencing past or current bullying, anxiety and depression.
Emmy’s experience in providing both school-based and intensive in-home counseling services help her provide effective comprehensive care. She believes that an individual must first feel safe and supported before engaging in sessions. Fostering a safe, judgement free environment allows her to support the needs of her clients.
