Samantha Charnecky M.Ed LAC NCC
As a Licensed Associate Counselor, Samantha has engaged in training which informed her in the treatment of chronic stress, trauma, clinical depression, abuse in its many forms, anxiety, grief & loss, family/marital, adoption, OCD, fostering, and infant and early childhood mental health. Samantha earned her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from William Paterson University of New Jersey, having completed both Clinical Mental Health and School Based counseling tracks. She has worked in crisis-based agencies, outpatient, mandated services, residential, school, and community-based services.
Samantha has an eclectic approach to treatment that is motivated by the strengths, needs, and goals of each person she works with. She frequently pulls interventions from cognitive-behavioral therapy, reality therapy, solution-focused, REBT, Gestalt, and person-centered foundations. Samantha has been known to easily engage in therapeutic play interventions and art therapy interventions depending on the needs and interests of the individual. Samantha has worked with special populations including emergency responders, LGBTQ+, veterans, and those in medical trauma and chronic illness.
