Marissa is a Licensed Social Worker who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Monmouth University, followed by her Master’s Degree in Social work from Fordham University.

Marissa is committed to providing a safe space for clients to explore the things that are most important to them, helping them better understand their emotions and behaviors. She has experience working with various age groups and populations. Marissa has clinical experience with Anxiety, Depression, Behavioral Challenges, Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, PTSD, and ADHD/ADD amongst children, adolescents, and adults. In addition to Family Dysfunction and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She also has extensive experience in counseling children and adolescents who are victims of neglect, physical and sexual abuse. Using an integrated approach, she tailors therapy sessions to the individual, while incorporating CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing and other techniques. Marissa believes that building rapport and building a therapeutic alliance is essential within the client and therapist relationship. Marissa wants to help her clients take action over their lives and be the best version of themselves.
