Mariah Millan, MSW
Mariah is a graduate of Monmouth University’s advanced standing program earning a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work. Her passion for working with children and young adults led her to Tri-County Behavioral Care to assist in several of the services we offer of in-home (IIC), out- patient, and school-based mental health services.
Mariah has experience working with school-aged children, family conflicts, clients with behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorder, social skills needs, life changing struggles, anxiety, and depression. Multiple therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and humanistic are used during the sessions to address one’s individual’s needs. She also enjoys incorporating play and art therapy. Mariah believes that building a rapport and having a strong therapeutic relationship with the client is the most important step in therapy. For progress to be made for each client, they must know and feel they are in a safe environment.
