Maria DiBenedetto, MA, LAC, NCC
Maria is a Licensed Associate Counselor as well as a National Certified Counselor, with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Caldwell University, NJ. Her passion lies in making a difference in other people’s lives. Through compassion, validation, empathy, and support she looks to empower her patients so they can achieve their goals.
In her work experience with domestic violence and trauma social service organizations, she provided individual and group counseling to those affected by domestic violence and to perpetrators of domestic violence. She has gained knowledge in working with adults from diverse, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds to include individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, male victims of domestic violence, women victims of domestic violence and anger issues.
She utilizes an integrative approach of therapy to combine different techniques that best suit her clients. Her therapeutic approach includes: Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing.
