Kristin earned her Master of Social Work degree from Rutgers University with a Clinical Concentration and a focus in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples in a variety of settings. Kristin has experience working with depression, anxiety, panic disorders, OCD, trauma, traumatic and complicated grief, divorce, family relationships and systems, parent coaching, peer relationships, domestic violence, mood and personality disorders.
Kristin uses an eclectic blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Ecotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy and Psycho-Education. Each approach is tailored to meet the specific needs of the client. Kristin uses a holistic approach to guide her clients as they learn to practice awareness, mindfulness, acceptance and gratitude. Kristin believes that successful therapeutic relationships stem from trust, openness, honesty and unconditional positive regard for her clients. Kristin views her role in the lives of the people she works with as a gift. Watching her clients enjoy more good days and fewer bad days is the greatest reward.
