Karina R. Raupp, LCSW
Karina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of New Jersey and a Disaster Response Crisis Counselor with MHANJ/FEMA. She graduated from Rutgers University School of Social Work earning her Master’s degree in 2009. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, she worked in the field for several years before returning to earn her masters.
Karina has worked in several different settings including schools, youth and adult partial care, a domestic violence shelter, youth hotline, school aged child care and in community education. She has experience working with groups and with individuals of all groups from preschool to geriatric.
She uses an eclectic strength-based approach which pulls from various therapeutic techniques based on the needs of the individual. Some of her clinical specialties are self-injurious behavior, anxiety, stress management, depression, low self-esteem, and mood disorders.
It is a gift to be a part of her clients’ journey and believes that the therapeutic relationship works both ways as we learn from each other. Karina provides a genuine, compassionate, and sometimes humorous environment for a challenging and rewarding journey.
