Diana is a Licensed Associate Counselor who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Art and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Art Therapy at Caldwell University. Diana is fluent in both the English and Spanish languages with years of experience in working with adults, adolescents, and children in inpatient and outpatient setting such as in a hospital, schools, camps, PHP, and IOP programs.
Diana has experience with treating individuals with depression, anxiety, suicidal ideations, self-harm, behavioral concerns, peer, family relationships, other mental health and life challenges.
Diana utilizes a person-centered approach using art therapy, play therapy, CBT techniques and focuses treatment toward empowerment, insight, self-awareness, increasing self-esteem, effective communication skills, learning and implementing effective coping strategies.
Diana believes in meeting each individual where they are in their journey and providing a safe, nurturing, empathetic and supportive space for them to meet their goals or learn how to deal with life’s obstacles.
