Amanda DeMayo, LAC, NCC
Amanda is a graduate of Montclair State University, with a Master of Arts in clinical mental health counseling providing in office psychotherapy and Intensive In-Community (IIC) services.
Amanda is passionate about working with young children and adolescents who may have behavioral concerns, school avoidance, and special needs. Her past experiences with children and adolescents has allowed her to work with individuals with anxiety, depression, attention-deficit hyperactive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and autism spectrum disorder.
Amanda utilizes an eclectic approach to counseling due to her belief that each client requires different strategies and techniques from the therapeutic relationship. She applies techniques from different theoretical approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, strength-based approach, and solution focused therapy. She provides a warm and encouraging environment for clients to work collaboratively and creatively with her to maximize their potential and ultimately reach their goals.
