Ferd Palumbo received his Master's in Social Work from the University of Michigan School of Social Work. He is a Licensed Social Worker and has practiced in a variety of settings including schools, university counseling centers, community mental health clinics, sexual violence resource centers, as well as providing intensive in-home therapy. He is well versed in working with children, adolescents and adults through the unique developmental life circumstances at every stage of life.. Each individual, family, or couple seeking treatment is unique and and their unique circumstances will dictate what treatment approaches will be used. With that in mind, Ferd uses an integrative approach incorporating psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, structural family therapy, and other approaches into his work .
Working in a variety of mental health settings, Ferd has experience in a variety of clinical concerns including the following: Trauma, concerns of the LGBTQ community, Depression, Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Phobias, interpersonal and relational issues among other concerns.
In addition to being a psychotherapist, Ferd is also a Social Work educator instructing undergraduate social work students in Northern New Jersey.
